About me
My name is Glenda Hodge
Creative Coverups began in 2011, inspired by my sister Barb and born out of love. That February, Barb was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer, and after surgery, we learned it had spread. As chemo loomed, I wanted to find her something beautiful and uplifting to wear on her head—but found the options lacking.
With over 40 years of sewing experience, I decided to create my own. Inspired by Barb’s vibrant spirit, her love of travel, and her nickname “the Telephone Lady,” I designed colorful, 100% cotton chemo caps just for her. Her smile said it all.
With Garry’s support and Barb’s feedback, I refined the designs—and by July 2011, Creative Coverups was born.
